About the event
Join Marian Ann Montgomery, Curator of Clothing and Textiles at the Museum at Texas Tech University, for a special bed turning event celebrating the stories behind family quilts. Attendees are invited to bring antique or heirloom quilts from their own families to share as Montgomery guides the group in exploring the history, craftsmanship, and personal stories woven into each piece. This is a unique opportunity to celebrate family heritage and discover the fascinating narratives that quilts can reveal. This is an informational event, appraisals will not be given.
You don't need to register to attend this event. If you plan on bringing an antique or heirloom quilt for review, please register so we can better anticipate the number of participants.
If you would like for your quilt to be reviewed, please bring it between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.
